The smartphone is a powerful tool for programme makers and journalists. From capturing and sharing photos, audio or video to editing content and transmitting live, smartphones can complement and augment traditional ways of recording and broadcasting stories.

Working for BBC World Service Partners, in collaboration with BBC Media Action, I devised and delivered a series of smartphone reporting workshops for journalists and producers working in The Occupied Palestinian Territories.

Following the successful delivery of those courses, I was commissioned to run similar workshops at KTV in Kuwait City and EBC in Addis Ababa.
